Frank Warren may be the sketchiest promoter of the bunch, BUT

When was the last time anyone put on a card even CLOSE to the caliber of the magnificent 7? I mean, in retrospect that was just a fantastic mesh of fights for public consumption, most of them highly competitive.

I watched it online, it was a decent show.

Look for america to not follow suit.

:-( I know. We're lucky to even get ONE competitive match out of Arum or GBP these days.

I consider the the lesser of two evils when it comes to cards, yes. Still massive room for improvement, though.

    He had to thats why

He has no world champion, just a few decent prospects and some over rated fighters.

Al he could do was just throw them into one big bill

No-one would have paid PPV for just a Cleverly and Brook main events

Don't go overboard. It was a good domestic card. A good card to see live but not one that should have generated many PPV buys. It had no main event, just a bunch of interchangeable scraps.

let's not go overboard guys sure it was a decent bill but we are only comparing it with the crap we've been fed the last few years, One swallow don't make a summer.

U probably loved Mosley vs mora shitfest fight?
Yes Mosley is shot to shot and had been for some years.
Magnificent 7 was great! Great treat for uk fans. Boxing is alive! Shame for Enzo.

Excellent post that put Uncle Oden right back to the bottom of the ESB ladder where he dwells .
You had N Cleverly, a Ring top 10 rated LHW beating a higher Ring rated LHW, in K Murat.
They tried to match Barker with Ring rated Macklin, which sadly fell through.
There was a good British and Commonwealth HW match up, where the winner is now being discussed as a possible W Klitschko opponent.
There was a couple of good European title fights and you had a world amateur champ and Olympic gold medallist on the bill.

    Good night of boxing

Warren hs no stars left so he had to do this. There is no way he would put on a show like that if he still had a cash cow like Khan. He's desperate but if that's what it takes to get a decent card out of him, so be it.
