We know that Frank Warren has a new TV deal starting in september. We really have no idea who it is with but from rumours and small bits posted on here by Frank Warrens fighters, we know that the 1st show will be September 4th and will include John Simpson vs Stephen Smith.

Tony Bellew has told us "its very big news for boxing fans" which gives me hope of national tv or a new channel in ESPN getting involved. however he also said "There'll be shocks when everyone renews there boxing contracts with Sky in August, I'll say this just wait and see what happens then" which makes me think he will get guaranteed dates with Sky on a saturday.

September 4th is significant as there is no Premiership Football that day. There is however England european championship qualifiers which almost certainly rules out ITV who have the rights to England's games.

this means we could be looking at Sky, ESPN or even the BBC looking to fill there saturday night schedules with live sport as there would be no premier league highlights.

The premier league free saturdays are September 4th and October 9th.

    Bellew has said there will be more than 5 shows before the end of the year come september, and they could be made up by these fights;

    Chisora vs Sexton (BRIT/COMM HW)
    Cleverly vs Mohameddi (EURO LHW)
    Bellew vs Ajitse (COMM LHW)
    Smith vs Anderson (BRIT SMW)
    Macklin vs Barker (EURO MW)
    Rhodes vs Konceny (EURO LMW)
Brook vs Jennings (WBO int WW)
    Martinez vs Burns (WBO SFW)
    Simpson vs Smith (COMM FW)

    add to that

    DeGale for domestic title?
    Saunders stepping it up?
    Hall return?
Gavin for domestic title? (Commonwealth to be vacated by Ajose)
    Mitchell return?
Liam Walsh stepping it up? Appleby return? (Commonwealth to be vacated by Burns)
    Broadhutst return?

Most Euro 2012 qualifiers are on Fridays and Tuesdays now, to allow more time for the players to get back to their clubs afterwards-so that Saturday is free for ITV.

Lets be honest for Boxing fans it would be great to see Warren and his fighters on domestic tv. It will also open up more air time for Sky which could end up seeing Hennessey getting the Warren dates on Sky. Or what about Primetime? Would Warren move away from Sky and go down the Primetime route and hoping that the boxing public would pay a PPV fee for all his fighters. If he goes that way it would surprise me BUT it would be bad for his fighters he is promoting not as big as the others mentioned but must be some sort of option.

Mick Hennessy doesn't deserve a TV deal, simple as that.

It would be better for everyone if he just gave up boxing and did something else.

The man is ineptness personified. He's got a star in Froch and nobody knows who he is...... plus he's badly mismanaged Murray and Witter.

Macklin could take his IBF eliminator but i don't think it will make him as much cash as the Barker fight where he's getting 60k. Rhodes could also get a vacant WBC title fight with Chavez Jnr or Margorito

I don't think we'll see Barker-Macklin either. Its complicated from a promotional point of view and also both fighters are looking for a world title shot not a fight where one of them is going to get bumped off.

Wherever it is, please make sure the best fight the best and for domestic titles or genuine world titles.

It was crap. Good main event on paper, but the rest of the card was dire and full of mismatches.
