I may look foolish in a week but Warren is no mug. I don't see him jumping to Primetime or a random new channel.

I don't expect it to be ESPN either but even though they have low viewing figures I think it could be a good deal in the long term for Warren. We've seen with ITV and BBC and to an extent Sky that they lose interest in boxing. ESPN has the potantial to grow and become a powerful force with their backing and it may be a smart move to get in on the ground floor with them in the hope they'll be loyal to you in the long term.

Surely this 'Combat' channel will be part of the basic Sky subscription. I remember a similar channel called 'The Fight Network' a few years ago that once showed a live Darren Barker fight from Canada. That closed down and I would expect any new MMA channel to eventually do the same.

I wonder if Warren has learned from his past mistakes. He cut short his Setanta deal to get back on Sky. Then when he left Sky for ITV Sky came back and took him back again. Thanks mainly to Khan , Hatton and Calzaghe when he left both Setanta and ITV. Now Warren doesnt have a big star no more IF he risks moving to another company I cant see Sky jumping back in and giving him another deal after leaving them yet again. I agree with the ESPN if they were to move to them in the long term that will be the station to be on. Money to spend no big English football to show for 3 years apart from Saturday afternoon games. Warren will have the full backing of ESPN and for ESPN they could package the UFC and BOXING to the fight fans and get some more subs. When the next football deal comes up I expect SKY and ESPN to be 50 - 50 on the games they show.

Hot news from my connections. Apparently the big news is that there will be 4 new free to air channels dedicated to boxing showing European, American, Oriental and Latin boxing 24/7.

All the channels will be free to watch and there is talk of boxing fans actually getting paid to watch them because of the advertising content.

Can't help but laugh at all of this. I reckon Warren will be smiling and having a chuckle too.

    REJOICE MR WARREN REJOICE!
