Frank Warren on DeGale vs Groves

Frank Warren says he is confident that James DeGale and George Groves will fight. The Brit rivals have been calling out each other since they turned professional. And they could be on course for a British title showdown later this year if Paul Smith vacates. That fight could get vetoed by either camp if they believe a bigger contest can be staged down the line. Warren says the fight will happen at some point. Smith is fighting McDermott and will vacate after.
DeGale vs Dilks and Quigley vs Anderson will be eliminators.

After that Groves will be mandatory if he beats a british fighter for the commonwealth. although I get a feeling Groves will fight for the European within the next 6 months.

 

honestly this is why i think Groves fight in vegas this weekend is a mistake. he could of defened his commonwealth agaisnt Dilks, Paul David and doubled it as a british eliminator. that would force the DeGale fight.

I know allot of people think let it happen in a few years, but Booth doesnt even think DeGale will get to a british title so they want it now.

 

every fighter says that but very rarley happens. Froch, Haye, Hatton and Calzaghe are 5 biggest fighters in the last 10 years none of them held more than 1 title.
