Nxt Gen?! Yafai is 31 (thirty one - that isn't a typo). In what parallel universe is a 31 year old a Nxt Gen?!

Nxt Gen is an early 20's prospect looking to make a statement and go through the ranks

 

It is being sold as a NxtGen officially. I'd say NxtGen is an inexperienced fighter early on in their career. It is a step-back for Yafai though. I know they wanted Jay Harris instead, but even then I was expecting Yafai to be fighting stiffer opposition.

It is. Hopefully Hutchinson and Zorro have decent opponents. I reckon Leach beats Abdullah.

tbf TBA has been very active recently.

 

Leach is a career super-bantamweight who would have been out of the ring for 15 months. Abdullah has fought 4 times since Leach last fought. Good fight but they are trying to be clever fighting an inactive, smaller fighter who was a feather-fister at the lower weight with only 4 KOs in 18 fights. Still think Leach wins though.

Joshua Frankham vs George Davey looks like an interesting fight.

 

yeah, expect Frankham to win though,. Looks like Warren is putting his fighters in with each other to lessen his stable, winner stays on . About time if he's doing that because his stable is quantity over quality.

 

Agree and its definitely time a few of them were pushed on now. Could lead to a few interesting fights

Two and a half weeks away and still no opponent announced for Hutchinson and Zorro. I presume Abdullah vs Leach will be headlining ? Hopefully the opponent has been sealed and just not been announced publicly - seems like they will get the call on extremely short notice.

Hopefully this means that Hutchinson and Zorro get some decent opponents so we get some good action before the big show on October 7.

It seems that Frank Warren will be organizing future events in places other than Telford and London

 

I see Dennis McCann has confirmed that the Baluta rematch is signed. I’m assuming this will headline at the Coppeebox in late November/Dec.

QP are also planning another card up north (not Telford) which I think will be announced on Saturday or at least soon which will be stacked from what I’m hearing.
