Zorro vs Spelman was last year. Zorro against D'Ortenzi I presume you meant. My point is that those cards have had 1/2 10-rounders and the rest full of 4/6/8 rounders of prospects against journeymen with hundreds of losses. Those shows were worse than some of Wasserman's shows on Channel 5. Look at the two David Adeleye shows this year for example.

No wonder Adeleye got nervous for his fight against Wardley in Saudi. He has been boxing infront of less than a thousand people at York Hall whereas Wardley has been chief support to an Anthony Joshua fight.

Lol you're really pushing this Adeleye v Wardley agenda down people's throats as if anyone cares when virtually no one rated Adeleye in the first place.

Adeleye has boxed on a Fury undercard at Wembley stadium. Headlining a show brings pressure whether it's infront of 400 or 40k - Adeleye lost become Wardley was the better man plan and simple. His last fight at York Hall was against a guy that Hrgovic fought only about 1 fight before he faced Zhang.

No reasonable person can have an issue with Warren blooding youngsters
On TV. The last York Hall card had a 50/50 cracker between Josh Frankham and Georvr Davey. Are you seriously saying that shouldn't have been on TV?

Why are you ignoring the cards I talked about ? Also, just because one fight was entertaining doesn't mean it's TV worthy. Plenty of small-hall cards have 1 or 2 evenly matched, entertaining scraps.

The one announced for November 24 is also underwhelming. Not sure why Chamberlain can't fight a natural lightweight.

Yes he did - at 8pm when Wembley was empty. Wardley fought at a packed out O2 as chief-support at primetime. He was also chief support to Whyte vs Franklin. Completely different. Both of those fights were against decent opposition in Coffie and then Gorman for the British Title. You're talking about Adeleye against a journeyman in Chris Healey.

Wembley stadium is Wembley stadium. The 02 wasn't even packed for AJ either if we are being technical. Wardley has also fought Healey and it was after Adeleye did. Nobody said that Adeleye was as experienced as Wardley and we all knew he had a better resume. The board called the fight, and Warren fancied it. Adeleye was also a fairly experienced amateur, unlike Wardley.

Coffee decent opposition? Come on mate, he's very average.

Better than Healey, yes, but that's saying nothing.

Decent and average mean the same, no? My point was there's a difference between fighting Michael Coffie and Chris Healey. Coffie could have caused some trouble for Wardley if the referee didn't step in for no reason.

Anyway, let's hope Wardley fights Dacres on TNT or Clarke on Sky next - both very good fights and I give them both a much better chance than I did to Adeleye.

Looks like there will be one more York Hall show probably on the 15/12 to close out of the year…at least in the UK.

To me, no, but fair enough if there was confusion.

I do agree on your last sentence though and I do like Wardley - he's vulnerable defensively as we have seen and as you pointed out against Coffie, but he also loves a tear up which makes for good viewing, and yes, I'd like to see Clarke v Dacres first, with the winner facing Wardley for the British Title.

I dont think any of them will reach world level, but There are some decent British Title fights to be made hopefully, similar to what the 154 division was a few years back.

I don’t believe so - I think the plan for that is January or Feb in the Copperbox, but it’s not signed. Dennis has also relocated to America to train with the Dan Goosen Team.

If there definitely is going to be another show it will likely be a similar one to 24/11 with Willy Hutchinson, Ezra Taylor, Karol Itauma, Tommy Fletcher, Alloys Jnr and a few of the new signings from this week.

Okay that’s a shame then. Hopefully Itauma steps back up to 10 rounds.

Do you know why Sheeraz vs Williams is at the Copperbox? With Gwynne on the undercard as well they could have sold out the Cardiff arena. I know they want to build Sheeraz in London though so that’s probably the reason why.
