Agree with most of what you said there. Still don't know where they'll go with Benn though as none of his opponents have fought back yet and I feel he's gonna get hurt badly when he steps up and as Bellew pointed out after his last fight, his fights have all been at one pace and he'll get beaten badly i feel when he steps up as have a lot of Warrens stable. But yeah, Parker and Heaney are just going to remain undefeated until a massive opportunity pops up and will likely get found out as a result.
Another shits-how TBH. BT boxing promised so much in the beginning. I wonder what happens to Warren when DAZN take over BT?
I don't think it will be. Has been dumb to announce prior to all opponents. Lennox Clarke vs Zak chelli for the British is a good fight. Anthony Cacace defends his belt, I would guess against Carr who beat 9-0 Dean Dodge for the Southern. It may well be a good night. Just doing it like this looks shite
Warren has never promoted Hughie has he? Benn fighting Granados who’d won 3 out of his last 9 fights won’t learn him anything, nor will fighting Chris Algieri as rumoured next who’s fought once in 3 years at the weight below and is now more of a commentator than a fighter. Ortiz Jr has fought Hooker and Kavaliauskas recently, fighters in their peak years who’ve had world title shots in the last 2 years. Proper tests, not has beens who fought so and so 7 years ago.
Ortiz is completely different level to Benn in quality and already a world level fighter beating 2 already. The vast majority of boxers won't be progressed that quickly and rightly so. It's usual to move prospect to start8ng with journeyman, then durable guys who should give rounds (such Grandos and Formella or in HW the equivalent of Kevin Johnson, Ustinov, Hammer Wach etc). After that depending how the deal with their opposition - High Euro or former world level fighters then if they pass that test world level fighters. Rumoured Broner and Khan would a good step up for Benn now, some may argue a fits fight or two too soon and should fight someone like Allegri who is a former world level fighter but as you stated at a lighter weight( it would still would be Benns best win).
Should be fighting McKinson and Avanesyan. All Hearn was speaking about in the build up to the Kelly v Ava fight was Kelly v Benn, sell out at the O2, PPV bla bla. If Benn was set up to fight Kelly he should be able to fight Avanesyan too.
