Let's campaign to get this whoyoupicking **** on the next PPV...let's have him fight Wladimir Klitschko bare-knuckle. Let's make this happen.

    Round 3

Jomardishvili has introduced an extremely wide around-the-world left hook into his arsenal. Macklin is grazed at the end of it but adjusts with diagonal movement about the ring. Jomardishvili throws heavy but slow combos that Macklin picks off with a tight and mobile guard. Jomardishvili clubs at him with the right trying to push him into a corner. Macklin lands a nice 2-3-4 but then steps right back out. Jomardishvili is there to be hit but Macklin is very cautious about opening up with more than two or three shots.

    30-27 Macklin

No justifying the referee. The man could not see straight, I knew this just by looking at him from here, the referee was a couple of inches away from his face.

I don't think Enzo's history needed to come into it; surely if a guy can't stand up straight without wobbling then it's over - that should trump giving someone the benefit of the doubt in a title fight. It was the same with Khan vs Prescott - Khan should never have been allowed to continue after the first knockdown.

Yeah i know, just throwing out a couple of points, like i said, in hinsight, given enzos history, it should have been stopped after the first kd.
Cant beleave enzo even got up from that punch.
No ****er would have taken that shot, it was peach perfect with massive power behind it.

    Round 4

Macklin is calmer now, jabbing and darting in and out with more confidence. Jomardishvili looks a bit lost and tries to counter-punch but is woefully inept in that role. Jomardishvili again throws about a half a dozen power punches over the course of three minutes and doesn't land one clean. Huge, easy round for Macklin.

    40-36 Macklin

    Agreed.

Even if Enzo was undefeated, he was still completely gone. Why let a fighter who doesn't know where he is walk into a big puncher? Nonsensical.

What was even more shocking was that they went through with the full count after Khan was knocked spark out the second time. They were willing to let him die in the ring that night to save his undefeated record.

They just highlighted the legacy of the EBU middleweight title.

Cerdan, Turpin, Minter, Graham, Eastman etc.

    Good tradition.

Yes that was shocking. It's horrible when the ref counts when it's clearly over.

    Round 5

Macklin is ready to put this thing away now. A weary Jomardishvili (who's barely done enough to have broken a sweat) is used as a punching bag by the much quicker Macklin. Jomardishvili tries to grab and maul him when moving away proves too tall an order. Macklin throws combos that get Jomardishvili to open up a bit wildly and Jomardishvili does a backwards somersault! (ruled a slip)

It's over but not overly impressed with Macklin. This opponent was awful and should've been put away in 1-2 rounds. Said back about a year ago I'd favor Pirog over Matt and still favor him.
