Lol.... FW has to stick the boot in doesn't he... Graham trained fighters like Paul Burke, Ensley Bingham, Carl Thompson, peter Judson, Micheal Brodie, Steve Foster, Micheal Holden and Micheal Murray. He turned Mathew Hatton into a reasonably able fighter. This guy deserves serious credit for producing a solid stable of international class fighters.

Frank really is a twat
Ricky should really have retired after the Floyd fight imo.

If Ricky was still with Frank he would't be telling him to quit as he has hardly anybody left now.

I thought that, but then he (rightly) wouldn't want it to end that way.

Perhaps after Lazcano at the COM would have been wiser.

I suspect Paulie will give him a real problem but I hope I'm wrong.

    Not sure myself.

Paulie is no great shakes but he is tough, he is energetic, he'll not be concerned about being in a scrappy fight, and he'll think he has a chance.

I think it will be a messy affair and I wouldn't be surprised to see Hatton get the thin end of a decision.

It depends what Hatton has left, I hope plenty, but the evidence suggests otherwise.

well it's nothing unusual a fighter cutting a trainer out when he starts to earn big bucks.when 10% of nowt becomes 10% of millions then attitudes can change. the "he's just the trainer,i'm the guy who goes in there and takes all the shots" attitude can take over, sugar ray leonard did exactly the same with angelo dundee.

I agree maybe one last fight to win and say goodbye would have been the best way to leave.
I think it will be a scrappy fight with Paulie but he'll take the decision.

Paulie is so boring... he is shockingly bad... He does nothing for me at all ... its like watching Hector Camacho but nowhere near as original or funny. He's got no personality he's juts a paper champion who can't punch. Hatton will muller him because while maliggiani can take a beating he has NO offence- he'll get well beaten.

But a very rich ex-girlfriend! :think

I see why Frank is sticking his beak in, he was probably asked about it by a porky scribe.

To be fair Hattons been making mega bucks for years. It's not like he's just cut Billy out as soon as he's started earning big money. Personally I think it has more to do with the loss to Floyd, the poor Lazcano performance.

I think there has been something of a power struggle in the camp for years, mainly between Billy and Ray Hatton. A clash of egos. Billy thought he knew best - and it's hard to imagine that he didn't.

While Ray looks out for his son no doubt, I think more input from Billy would've been better for Hatton. Billy would have been more about the sport and the glory than the money IMO.

That said, Ray's management got Hatton big fights in Vegas and a shot at the best fighter on the planet in a mega, mega fight. And earned a shed load of money for them. Success whichever way you look at it I suppose.

Shame it had to end this way and it'll be years before we know any worthwhile details about the story I suspect.

Used to be a massive Hatton fan but I'm really disappointed with the way he has dealt with Graham. Billy was part of the team from the outset and I think Ricky has dismissed a trainer who knows him better than anyone. I'm sure that the usual "Graham is **** he has no tactics" nonsense will have been posted on a thread somewhere, well maybe Ricky should have tried listening to his trainer instead of rushing blindly in like he did against Mayweather and Lazcano. I think Hatton will look back and regret this, there is certainly no trainer out there who can change the Hitman this far down the line.
