    Time to vote.

Gray won convincingly last time but Frankie continues to improve and he is the champion. This will also be over 5 rounds not 3. Frankie has gone 5 rounds twice in a row but Gray has been to 8 decisions so isn't afraid to go rounds.

    Tough call.

    Who will win???

PS - The winner will have to fight Ninja Pettis.

god I hope it isn't Maynard, I've never hoped anything more in UFC than Maynard not winning. It's up there with BJ beating Fitch and getting a third fight with GSP, just no.

William Hill have Maynard the favourite too, but I'm hoping Edgar can beat him, on his performances against BJ, he should run into no problems.

As much as I like Frankie, I just think Maynard is a bad matchup for him. I don't think Frankie is incapable of winning by any means, but Maynard's style is a confounding one for many fighters. He's a huge, freakishly strong and talented wrestler with a big right hand and a counter-puncher's mentality. He holds his own on the feet with this minimalist approach and, if things aren't going his way, he's capable of taking anyone down. I do think Frankie will get the better of the striking exchanges in the rematch, though, probably look to keep it at range more often, and thus fare a bit better this time around. Still, at the end of the day, it's hard to see how he'd stop Maynard if he decided to simply press, look for the takedown, and look to control.

Could go either way, but I'll go with the safe pick: Maynard by close decision. 3 rounds to 2.

Bits to remember - Maynard knocking himself out against Emerson. Edgar somehow surviving a deep knee bar against Griffin.

    Im going with Maynard.

Maynard is the better wrestler and his striking has improved somewhat, that doesnt matter really as I see this being a battle of wrestling which Maynard wins.

if it remains on the feet however I think Edgar has proven to be more capable in this area shown by his conquest of Bj Penn. Edgar is the better striker but I dont think by much, penns weakness seems to be consistant movement and not allowing penn to plant his feet to counter, Maynard on the other hand will not need to plant his feet because he will be throwing punches to set up the takedown which Maynard will need to secure a victory here.

PS. I dont think either Maynard or Edgar will be outdone by Henderson's highlight of being kicked ninjastyle in the face.

I believe neither man will settle second to pettis-henderson ATG highlight reel footage, but rather work the fight so that they can be the one losing their title by a kick of ledgandary perportions where the champions head will be kicked off by Pettis (staged similarly to the wec 53 ) and propelled far out of the cage into the air and at its summit the head explodes with fireworks hidden behind the eyes, mouth and ears!

Fantastic colors fill the arena, red smoke spews forth from the bloody neck above the octagon to form the word

Candy will then rain down on the spectators from the exploded head of the glorious loser. (the champion either Maynard or Edgar would have obviously stuffed their skull with sweets) The candy will fall directly into each gaped mouth of the onlookers who would immedietly gobble it up in their euphoria having witnessed the a miracal unparalleled in all of MMA.

This would be signaled by Pettis's opponent whoever they may be, tapping his foot on the side of the cage three times.

Pettis's opponents motivation for all this would simply to be immortalized by the highlight reel video footage of his final match rather than retain the title and continue a sucsessful career:huh

    Edgar.

He has very good wrestling, and his ability to scramble back to his feet after being taken down is also excellent. If it is good enough to deal with Maynards strong top game is yet to be seen, but I believe that it is. If so, Frankie will be able to keep this fight on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage. On top of that, he also has the ability to take Gray down if needed.

I doubt that we will see a submission by either of them, and neither of them possess an awful lot of power, so I think it is safe to say that it will go all five rounds. Very few people have an advantage over Frankie in a five round fight. His cardio is just well beyond the majority of his peers.

Frankie gets my vote. I think his skills have far surpassed that of Maynard. There's no doubt that Frankie's striking is far superior and even though Maynard has the better credntials in the wrestling department, Frankie always seems so much more technical within the confines of MMA. Maynard never really sets up his shots and and I see nothing technical in the majority of what he does. He just shoots desperately and bulldogs people to the mat. I also think the lateral movement that Frankie has shown in his stand-up will also make it a little harder for succesfully shoot. It should also be noted that Maynard always seems to slow down in 3 round fights and we've seen Frankie look fresh for 5 rounds before.

I hope to god its Frankie Edgar but sadly I believe Maynard is all wrong for him. Maynard is bigger, stronger and the better wrestler he was able to take down Edgar at will nearly 3 years ago and as well rounded as Edgar is this is still a guy who was took down twice late in the fight by a very tired BJ Penn. I expect Maynard to fight him similar to the way he did Kenny Florian. So if you think I might be right then do the right thing and dont waste your 50 bucks. Gray Maynard is one of a few small number of fighters who bore me to freaking death how do you have boring fights with Ken Flo, Roger Huerta or Nate Diaz ? Ask this guy.

Frankie is very light and nimble on his feet but he is so light and bouncey that he isn't always set to stuff the takedown. He does scramble and get up very well though. He is going to try and score alot standing but I think for everyone winning and losing is in the grappling. I'm still undecided about who I think will execute the right gameplan.

I actually like maynard in this fight. I think he will used his wrestling and strength to beat edgar. He has to take him down cuz i doubt he'll win the striking department against edgar.
