Seems that Frankie is being made an example of. It does seem unfair but that the nature of the BBBoC. They arbitrarily dish out punishments without any real consistency. As an aside, it's a real shame that we've seen him totally waste his talent in the pro game but he can only really blame himself for fighting above his ideal weight and not seeking out a world class trainer to really bring the best out of him.
Never nice to see family issues end up in court. I blame compensation culture. Nowadays anyone who loses a fight wants a payout so runs crying to the authorities. My friends dad ended up doing time after his wife's brother in law and his son tried to stick it on him and he managed to get the best of both of them. They then had the cheek to play the victim and got him arrested. It was an absolutely ridiculous situation. One man went to prison for defending himself against two would be assailants.
He can fight an Amir Khan abroad for the right of 5 million fans etc.. Then the Kell rematch etc.. Kell's undefeated in rematches too remember he got beat too..
He's a bit smaller framewise than the other welterweights etc.. He was still 60kg late in age.. other guys was just growing through the weights.. The lightweight won't fail welterweight twice etc..
Gavin only has himself to blame. So much talent that went to waste, he clearly should be banned if he's fighting outside of the ring. He is supposed to be a golden boy and a role model. On the one hand we won't have to watch him in dull fights anymore... SKEETE VS GAVIN 2 anyone?
Decent skills, but not enough pop, too small for the weight and doesn't let his hands go. Plus his ring walk music for the Brook fight was "Turn Down For What" - says a lot about the man.
