Thats a bit harsh, different trainers will get different things out of fighters, it comes down to a situation scenario basis as to how a fighter will react. Look at Jermain Taylor with Emmanuel Steward, Mathew Macklin has looked worse ever since he went over to the States to train with Freddy Roach.
Jim watt said gavin has adapted his style very well to the pro game the way he stands in front of his apponent always ready to fire back once his apponent has missed surely that had got be be down to farnell because gavin had only started doing that as a pro also the body shots which gavin never did as an am and like I said on my other post listen to farnell shouting some excellent instruction in the 4th
crolla was improving all the time anyway hes a young fighter he has just had more chance to show it under joe, and about him being gifted fighters warren isn't stupid and neither is frankie they wouldn't be with arnie if he wasn't good!
Just my opinion guys, like i first said, Frankie is an amazing talent and i like him, i think he'll go all the way but Farnell isn't proven yet, he may one day prove to be a great trainer but from what i've seen and what he's achieved as a trainer he's still very much learning the game but good luck to the guy. :good
rumours that theophane will vacate, gutted really he is a good fighter but apparently his fighting for some bogus LIGHT-MIDDLEWEIGHT title in germany, why on earth would you vacate the british to fight 2 weight divisions above your natural weight for a shitty title, looks like gavin could fight ste williams for the vacant british on april 2nd.
watch out for paul butler this lad is top class also I've heard dean byrne has joined farnell as well as don broadhurst sound like a top stable especially with the top prospect ronnie hefron
Gavin did well last night. He was equally impressive as Brook against Lomax. He hasn't got the same power obviously, but he's a 140lb'er. Really you expect him to deal with a limited fighter like Lomax at short notice, but not taking any punches and retaining that type of accuracy is the all important thing. We don't often see that, even at domestic level. It's always a good sign. I like his posture and the way he subtley moves his head off centre, he doesn't waste a lot of energy to avoid punches which is absolutely crucial because we're going to see Frankie in a lot of longer fights as he gets higher in level. You don't want that type of fighter that is great for a few rounds defensively and then tires and unravels, Gavin's efficiency should guard against that.
Thanks for comments everyone but really me an arnie gel out the gym were like family in the gym his a ***** who trains me hard lol but honestly people underestimate his brain he's a top top trainer an hopefully we will get world titles Ps arnie I ent doing sit ups Monday now
quality last night frankie, how badly have you hurt your left? I noticed you stopped throwing it while watching hopefully nothing too serious. :good
Congratualtions on an excellent performance Frankie, hope the hand isnt too bad & heals quickly. Keep busy, keep working hard & the titles will come. You looked really good last night, classy operator.
Funny nobody is mentioning that Frankie isn't cut after last night, I wonder why :think Nice one Franky hopefully you will be out again soon, love to see you versus Theophane for the British, would be an excellent matchup.
I watched the fight last night and again today, Frankie is a breath of fresh air to watch, classy fighter. The speed he has is phenomenal and he keeps his jab smooth as anything. And then the doubles, quality. Brilliant win for him.
