Frankie Gavin cant fight he can only box!

Is Matthew Hall retired or what, he seems to be sparring these young prospects a bit.

He's changed his mind and is going to have another crack. Good news all round.

 

Good on him, exciting fighter he is. And too young to retire at 26.

 

matthew hall is just plain awful he would make anyone look good.

 

How is he awful? Fair enough he will never achieve much at european or World level, but hes a decent domestic fighter and has one or two good wins on his record. Theres no shame in being a domestic level boxer. I though he looked decent in this footage anyways, he caught Gavin with a few decent shots.

 

I agree. Hall is a good domestic pro, no disgrace in that.Not everyone can be Willie Pep.

 

He showed signs of things he worked on with Arnie in gym but fact is he was fighting a guy who is just off of world class. It wasn't sort of fight you go into when still developing much needed parts added to game. A few 8-10 rounders against decent opposition would of been better for him. He put up decent show.

 

Yeah looks great... BUT

I really want to see him more active

 

Same with most prospects mate. 4/5 times a year for the first couple of years just isn't enough IMHO.

 

I remember when him and DeGale turned pro and people were saying they wouldn't do much as pros because they were just good at hitting and not getting hit, as if that's not the point of boxing.

I remember some people saying Jeffries would go further haha
