Im yet to see these **** performances. Hes won every single fight convincingly. Ok, he hasnt been thrilling but if you know anyone that has suffered from depression you should know how hard it is to do anything, never mind do it well. Pricks like you need a good kick up the arse.
As an amateur world champion and a fighter that recieved allot of attention from the press and tv companys more is expected off him.
So you have the problem with him. Thats all there is to it (and its not news to me). Treat him on his actual merits and hes comprehensively beaten every one hes faced. Woodhouse won three rounds at best.
Hopefully Frankie will stop hangin around with the complete and utter wankers he associates himself with. Whenever i've spoken to him he's always been a sound lad but he's surrounded by low life morons and criminals. Hope he overcomes his depression because the lads been to hell and back from the stories i've been told
Hey, at least I admit it! My view on him (outside of my hate-filled diatribes which are mostly for my own amusement) is pretty fair Id say. He has physical talent but has appalling technique and distinct lack of skills. I think it was Slip or Jpab who said about fighters winning fights on sheer athleticism until they get to the top level. Thats when their paucity of technique tends to show itself up and they either lose or look much more average. On here, Gavin get criticised for dominant (though dull) performances. DeGale looks **** two fights in a row and nearly gets knocked on his arse and people scream the positives about well, hes shown he can grit it out! At what point do people actually acknowledge whats right in front of them? Its a bizarre double-standard, quite honestly.
I have suffered from depression, can get really bad and take time to recover from. If he needs meds it can take a while for the body to adjust, but it gets better. The mental strength you get from overcoming depression can help you later on in life. Wishing him all the best.
Spot on. It's not about keeping bad company when you have the potential to become a world class Boxer!
I agree wholeheartedly with DFT. These '**** performances' is a complete myth. Woodhouse never run him close at all. The lad has won every fight he has been in by wide margins, WITHOUT having his mind fully focused on the sport. FFS what more do people want from him? Rob saying more is expected from him is complete and utter ****. the onloy problem I have is that he should have been out more.
*cough* Thank god he pulled out of this one tho, Gavin/Witter sounded like a painful watch. Rather **** out a bowling ball tbh.
