    So what? The reason Rios has slipped down the rankings is he has lost his last two fights!
    A more valid argument would be to ask why is Brook above Broner, Paulie, Alexander, Thurman amongst others when he still hasn't beaten anyone of note.

    Rios V gavin is the type of fight he should be aiming for next year
    but it raises the age of question of can he keep someone as tuff and powerful as rios of him - Rios has looked limited in his last 2 but hes a decent fighter

    Boxrec rankings done by math were unbeaten fighters get more credit than none. They themselves admit its broke

    It's clearly a flawed system. Beat a couple of (domestic) nitwits in a row and you're golden.

    I remember Audley making the top25 after winning a very low quality Prizefighter touney following his demolition by Price. Everyone knew he wasn't supposed to be there, but the points system said otherwise.

    I could see Rios beating Gavin.

    His workrate and stamina is so much higher and better than Gavin's, and Gavin hasn't got the power to keep Brandon off of him.
