I'd give Frankie two fights, this and say Horta and then i'd chuck him in a big fight. Sink or swim type fight i think is what he may need.

this is a good fight because theyre both domestic level fighters imo which in no means takes anything away from your performance against him which was nothing short of superb and deserved a victory

Gavin KO1 if he turns up.

  7. I agree.

He's not going to be motivated by ''never been stopped'' or ''WBO intercontinental champion'' or ''former.....''.

Stick him in with someone good, let's see what he really has.

It's probably hard, boxing must be the only sport where you can go from being the best in the world to competing against genuinely crap opposition in the blink of an eye.

If a 5000m runner moves up to 10000m, he might take a short while to adjust but will generally make the transition easily enough. A rugby league player crossing into union won't go from international class to playing in the reserves for a couple of years whilst he gets the hang of it.

    Why in boxing?

Obviously the change is bigger but the jump down in class that they face is ridiculous. I don't think the switch is always helped by changing trainer, to ''develop a pro style''. Just fight the way that comes natural to you.

    :yep

I thought he was having a title fight?

Gavin's full of **** and his career is a bigger anti climax than Audley Harrison's.

Do you think you need a sink or swim type fight Frankie?. Someone who people think 'he's to much for Frankie right now'. That type of fight where you know there can be corner left unturned. On way to ring the adrenaline pumping cos you know this is a big risk.

Obviously this is a ok tune up, but that sorta fight IMO would really do you world of good. I'm trying to think of risky fights. Suppose Mitchell vs Prescott was in a way because people didn't think Mitchell could box well on back foot. Ward vs Miranda as well people were concerned about that one and Ward boxed really well.

I'd say the problem at the minute is you're fighting to level of your opponent which imo means you'll look better against better opposition.
