Yeah he got a good write up last week didn't he. I'm pretty impressed. The first fight video he seems bit to eager but cuts ring down well and once he lands his powers effective. Little to over eager but he's beaten some decent fighters for a youngster.

I was wondering that . Mine ain't the greatest but ain't that bad .

I think the only way forward for him is a complete overhaul of his career.

No Twitter, no Facebook, no mobile phone. When he's in training camp he's training or sat on the sofa doing **** all.

No fighting in Sunderland, or anywhere else within 200 miles of the place - preferably in the USA and off telly..... every month for the next two years. It's the only way he'll improve.

At the minute he's playing at boxing and will come unstuck very shortly.

If he's providing for his wife and child then why isn't he taking his career more seriously?

To be honest..... if he's spending prolonged periods in the States now there wouldn't be much difference.

Take her with him? I don't know.... but you hear from him that he wants to be successful and wants to put the work in but surrounds himself with backslappers and spends his downtime on Twitter being called ''champ'' 24/7.

He'd make enough money over there on undercards to pay the bills, especially if he was on often enough. It all comes down to desire - look at Nelson.... laughed out of the gym on several occasions before turning pro and basically turned himself into a journeyman for the first ten years of his career in order to learn and become a better fighter.

I'm not sure Jaffa's ego will allow him to do that, given that anyone who doesn't suck up to him gets blocked and called a wanker over the internet.

I spoke with his dad on Boxrec and he pretty much confirmed what everybody says about him with his lack of ability to listen to other people and how he always knows best.

He's in a comfort zone at the minute, no matter how crap he is he'll always sell tickets, and Sky are persisting with him as it enables them to give other fighters a platform. A bit like a player in the reserves at Utd or Chelsea.... the Winston Bogarde of boxing

As I've said before I want him to succeed (along with all the others) but he's going to have to think outside the box, because this present approach isn't working.

I dont understand how people cant say Jeffries isnt taking things seriously when he has spent a large of amount of money to move to the US and train with Brooks. Surely if he wasnt taking things seriously he would have stayed up north like he was before. He does come across as a bloke who likes to please everyone, was a good thing he stood up to Maloney even if he was talking rubbish.
