Frankie Gavin vs Khan

If I was Frankie I would go to the states.

 

One of Gavin's problems is that he hasn't often really used his jab as a weapon on his fights as much as he could do.

Instead he paws with it to set up a 'scoring shot' that you'd see in the amateurs.

His right hook to the body is very good too, it'd work nicely against a fighter like Khan to slow him down a bit.

Because he has a good fight against Vassell sealed and delivered. I'd have no hesitation throwing him in against Jones say in August time (bearing in mind this fight will probs go ahead June time)

Such a logical fight for Gavin. Winnable, Great Expirience, Would get a ton of credit, Propel him into world class, would do well ticket wise in Birmingham, Raise his profile to the sports fan.

I said ages ago that Gavin should go to America for sparring.

He could walk into Mayweather's gym or Roaches gym with his credentials and they'd snap him up straight away. Ok, he's got a family, but you have to make sacrifices in Boxing, and it would benefit him massively in the long run.

If he stops Vassel he will be sending out a big message, IMO.

 

Going a bit far now. He may look a bit shaky but he has operated at the very top of the 140 division. Gavin would get b f**** by Maidana, Peterson, Judah etc
