Sorry to say this, he looked absolute **** last night. Hopefully a one off becuase he can look good. But he simply did not no how to break mutley down and he did not have the power to worry him, he is so far away from getting to world level i actually dont think he can get there. He neeeds a couple of years in amercian gyms to get tougher and get some much needed hard sparring. Boxing is about selling tickets and excitement and he provided neither.

    "Absolute ****" :patsch

He was below what we've come to expect but he was up against a fighter who didn't come to fight. He still won every round comfortably so it's not like he was hurt or anything.

Oh, and American gyms are not the answer to everything.

It was mainly Mutley's fault the fight was so ****. It wasn't Gavin's best performance by a long way but he was honest about that, I think he'd do much better at light welterweight right now. He should go for someone like Cook or even Daws in July and then Theophane later in the year.

He was really poor i agree. He did not jab with any authority or open up with combos. He looked soft weight wise. Thats the down side. On the plus, on his worst night, in his first 12 rounder, having been sick, he utterly dominated.

If its a one off its ok. I suspect Frankie is a bit like Chris Eubank, in that he will look amazing against guys who come at him, but less so against cagey types. Chris had some stinkers in his pre title days against guys he was leagues above,

I think powers going to be a problem with frankie. Has all the moves but last night i was looking for mutley to be broken down and stopped and he did'nt come close.Hes not going to be fast tracked to world titles like some people think, theres alot of work to be done yet

I get what you're saying, I can't argue. I give him props for dictating the fight but yes, he should have taken out the trash rather than just tie a knot in the bin bag and leave it in the kitchen stinking the room out.

You know nothing, yes they are ! Look at the improvement of Amir Khan since he went to America. Groves was very sharp and boxed a lot better then expected, he spars in America did him the world of good, remember Degale when he first turned pro ? Degale then went to America and trained with Mayweather and came back a much improved fighter with some of mayweathers moves, used to perfection against Smith. America is still the hub of boxing.
