I just don't think he was up for it against Mutley.

I've been saying it for ages, he'll only look the part against someone that tries to take his head off. Lomax came to win and Gavin looked brilliant, Mutley didn't and he looked ****.

Warren has got to put his hand in his pocket and get him a proper opponent next time out. Any more stiffs and Gavin will just look bad and start losing interest.

The weight isn't an issue for me, I think he's fine at 147. Just get him someone that comes to win.

That's stupidity if he's got a stiff in front of him he should be despatching him to prove a point. Khan was making short work in the early part of his pro career. People claim Frankie to be as or even more talented than Khan. If he is gonna take the attitude that he's far too good for these guys and not
bother to get them out of there, it will hurt his future prospects in getting big fights. Believe me, knockouts and big performances matter a great deal, regardless of who you are fighting.

If theophane fights Frankie, Frank will dominate him last night Frankie wasn't 50% of what I know he can fight like! He's not happy with his performance he just couldn't let them go like he usually does, but that's down to him being slightly under the weather but to be fair he still dominated on a bad night, every fighter has bad nights so wait till next time to judge him.

Gavin should have gotten Mutley out of there, for sure.

I do believe that he was struggling in the week, you've only got to look at him between rounds, coughing up allsorts.

According to a few people on here connected to the Gavin camp they were supposed to be getting him a real step up in class for last night, and it didn't materialise.... and then he ended up with an old, shot Mutley.

Can't blame the lad for being a bit flat, I can't say I'd be any different to be honest.

he should never be allowed to fight at 147, entered the world top ten at 147 what was the point this could all end in tears.
Frankie needs to be at lightwelter and needs to **** that wbo organisation off more dedication and less funtime imho good luck::bbb

Mutley came to survive. Frankie is not an agressive boxer, he is a counter-puncher. When fighters come to him he will show his class.

Gavin needs to be a Jr. Welterweight if not Lightweight. He's not built for it. He doesn't have the style for it.

by the way fighters often get sick in the build up to fights and its generally due to over training or doing something wrong in camp

He came back with a cross defence and a lot of Mayweather moves, learned a lot in a short time, emagine how much he could learn if he was there longer ?

I've got to say I was disappointed with Gavins performance last night. I understand that he wasn't well and that Mutley was only looking to survive, however the thing that bothered me was that horrible, telegraphed, looping left he kept throwing. I've seen bums throw crisper shots than that and it's not a thing that can be put down to his wellness or the opponent, it was just a very sloppy and totally innefective punch that he was throwing all the time.

Hi fellas Frankie was gutted last night but he got the win went 12 and never lost a round IMO. In reality he shouldn't of boxed last night he's been Under the weather.Frankie always likes to put a show on but he just couldn't pull the trigger and get out of first gear. I ashore u all Frankie will not fight if I don't feel he 100% again. When he is on form I really don't see anyone to beat him.
