The guy clearly has skills, from what he achieved as an amateur but looking at his pro career , what happened ? Is it just down to commitment ? Clearly clearly clearly could never be elite at 147lb, so why couldn't he see that ? Looking just at the physique of the likes of Floyd, PAC, brook etc etc did frankie seriously look in the mirror and think " yeah I can match them guys " It just makes me wonder......was it pure self belief ? Pure stupidity ? No truthful management around him ? Degale said this week that he had said to frankie " shouldn't you be fighting at LWW, and frankie was like' nah I'm a welterweight I'm a welterweight " It's just weird, was it ignorance or arrogance or simple lack of dedication ? I know some fighters never looked ripped but that's usually at the higher weights , maybe frankie is just unfortunate that his physique ain't made for the pro ranks, but I wonder if he really tried Especially after his diet article in BN lol
Do you think he could have made 140lb with the right training and support ? Management who basically insisted 140lb or nothing ? I dunno, maybe he is a fighter who just never grew into an athlete, and despite looking weak at WW, would be dead at LWW Similar but not to such an extent as Mitchell who I always felt was a little small at Lightweight but just can't get down to superfeather
