Yeah, this is pretty well known, only extreme Roy Jones haters deny this.

Bollocks. Collins was chasing Jones for years and he wouldn't fight him. That is a load of ****. Everyone knows Jones wasn't interested in several challenges from across the pond. He took the Mayweather route instead.

I could have sworn both Collins and Liles persued fights with Jones. I have no verification of this. but that was what in heard during their time.

Yeah Hall, Brannon, Kelly, Frazier, Telesco are the only ones brave enough to challenge Roy, some people are so gullible.

Jones was a diva, that is why he "missed" so many opponents

How about when Jones & HBO blatantly lied about Jones having no rivals at 175lbs in the prefight segment during the Jones-Hill broadcast? I'll upload it sometime.

That would of been around 98
The same year he vacated his belt to avoid Nunn
Hill was also coming off a bad loss to Darius M

Fights didn't get made because of both sides. Jones was egotistical and he wanted to get paid and paid far more than those who wanted to fight and few relented -- like Zod said, he was a Diva of extreme proportions. It goes back and forth, the goes went from wanting to fight him to not wanting to fight him. I don't care what anyone says, Larry Merchant is no mouthpiece to push agendas, he is perhaps the only commentator in the history of HBO that openly tares guys a part if they are fighting suspect people or clearly dodging fights. At the end of the day, each person, will chose what side they want to be on. If they are a Jones supporter they have their proof, if they are not they have their proof. It gets you nowhere and it's over and done. Collins wasnt special, but I wouldve liked for Jones to have fought Liles, simple for his physical abilities, he fought Jones in the Amateurs and it was a hell of a fight. In the pros im sure it would have been, but I would have had my money on Jones.

Jones had no business fighting Hill at that point, the man to beat was Darius.

Some fights you can have credence to blame on Jones, but this is both a Jones problem and a DM problem. DM only fights in Germany, where he makes his money and has his support and there was no way in hell Jones was going to go to Germany to challenge DM. This is prime Jones we are talking about... he would never travel anywhere outside of America at this time. Only a desperate shell of himself would, because he knows he has absolutely zero power now.
