Bollocks, fact is Collins wanted to fight Jones for years and years, and would've done it for **** all money Jones didn't want to fight him.

Benn fought in the US a few times, Barkley and Dewitt were big names.

    Herein lies the problem.

    DM was the champ.

well if DM was the champ, then he should have travelled to America. As people said in this thread "Great fighters take risks"

Jan Zeveck and V. Senchenko are current Welterweight champs too. Is there any buzz for a fight between them and Mayweather or Pac?

collins was made at least one offer so your comment is false. it was the best decision collins ever made in his career. he would have been bludgeoned.

    That's rather illogical.

How do you know it was them asking for a Kings ransom and not Jones?
King wanted options, for around 3 fights, not for Jones's entire career.
When Jones fought Ruiz he gave King options
When Jones fought Tito, he gave King options
According to who? How could Collins ask for 6m? His biggest payday was 1m(Eubank II). Jones Paz- showed that Jones himself wasnt a draw, it only did around 160-175ppv. So how could Collins be asking for that kind of money? It was Jones who was demanding 5M for the fight, not Collins.
Great fighters take risks. If Darius wasn't leaving Germany, Jones should of gone over there for the sake of his legacy. Like Gonzalez did. It is no about who is right or wrong, Jones was also asking for a crazy amount of money as well.
That was never the problem. HBO wanted those fights, Jones promised them that he would fight the best in his division, but once he got the contract he did the exact opposite.

I am a huge RJJ fan, but he missed too many guys for it to be coincidence. He wanted nothing to do with McClellan or Nunn. And why didn't Benn, Eubank or Jackson ever get discussed?

He even avoided a rematch with both Hopkins and Toney for over a decade.

RJJ could have fought Tyson or Holy or Byrd at heavyweight, but chose Ruiz.

Then he balked at fighting Jirov at 190, then Toney beat him to it.

RJJ = great fighter, but only fought who he wanted to fight.

Tarver had to belittle him into 3 fights, and the only reason he fought Calzaghe was for $.

Darius was the linear champ, who had all of his belts stripped off him, by abc sanctioning bodies which didnt like him having the WBO belt.
He would of been the best win on Jones's resume after Toney, if Jones beat him
