    Randall tko

    Very good matchup.

Roger Mayweather and Vince Phillips showed Tzyu was very vulnerable to the right hand

Randall had a tremendous right hand and dented the previously impenetrable JC Chavez chin.

Randall was a bit more skillful than Tzyu as well

Tzyu was very strong and busy so this would be competitive.

At some point Randall hurts Kostya then follows up

Probably a 10th round or later tko.

Kostya pulls the trick sometime in the first 10. Kostya hit like a ton of bricks, bigger puncher than Chavez, or Coggi or anyone Randall ever beat and really fine-tuned the setting up his rights hand after the Phillips loss. He no longer just tried to walk through people, but put a hurt on the body and really set up and timed his right hands judiciously. I would bet on KT everyday, all day. He was just the better fighter.

Prime Randall is by far better than anyone Tzyu beat.

Tzyu did regroup after the Phillips mugging but other than Judah didn't face anyone dangerous

Tzyu is just too easy to hit

I wouldn't say Tzyu hit harder than Coggi. Coggi was limited and a WBA favorite but he could hit.

Peak Randall is simply at a higher level than Tzyu ever reached

Beating a partied-out, coked-out, disinterested Julio in his thousandth fight in no way qualifies one to beat a prime Kostya who continues to be the most underrated fighter on this forum.

    Spot on.

After the loss he also dedicated properly to boxing - it was a good wake up call.

I think this would be a close fight. Not quite 50/50 but not far away from that either. I do think Kostya would take a close decision and perhaps stop Frankie late as the most likely outcomes

Tszyu is underrated. He was most certainly a great fighter at the peak of his powers. He’d beat Randall.

My Aussie bias comes in to play here - Kostya makes a case for our greatest ever fighter, (although I think Rose was better).

As many said Kostya hit like a truck. I think he finds a home for that right hand at some point. KO 8.

I always thought the most talented boxer from Australia that I saw was Johnny Famechon.

Yes very talented. He’s definitely in the discussion too. Rose beating fighting Harada at his best weight edges it for me.

You don’t think Fenech is in the top two?

Tszyu was unlucky that he lost so much at the end through injuries otherwise I’m sure he’d have been clear cut but while Fenech was not the puncher or boxer Tszyu was or the boxer Rose was, the sum of his parts is slightly better and he’s #1 for me.

That’s a very fair assessment and I can definitely see his claim. Don’t get me wrong, Fenech was brilliant and he’s just as deserving for the #1 Aussie spot as anyone. I just think he’s an idiot.
