Randall at 147 didn't do much of anything and didn't go up there until he was pretty much shot. At 140, the best version of Randall beats the best version of Cotto - probably by late tko or decision. Randall is somewhat underrated. Yes, Chavez was a bit past it when Randall beat him, but he was still very good, as shown by his ability to reign at 140 for a few years after controversially getting his title back from Randall.
You've got some good match ups going lately. I like The Surgeon in this one, mainly because he could take some hellacious punishment and dish it right back.
Thank you kindly, sir! Agreed with your comment. I think Miguel is somewhat vulnerable at 140, and that's not good against Randall.
Not easily. Randall was dropped and stopped by Ramos, as was down against a past prime Rosario. I still favor the Surgeon, but Cotto would be a very live dog with a real chance of victory.
I agree with Red...but I won't say it would be easy...it would be a helluva go. Randall decision. @ 147 though entirely different story...Cotto in 6.
I think this could be a very good fight at 140, with Randall possibly edging it. At 147 however, Cotto was still a very live fighter while Randall never really acclimated to that class. So I guess I'll go with Randall at Jr. Welter and Cotto at Welter.
