    Who's more under appreciated/underrated?

    Who scored the better wins?

Who do you rank higher in general?

    Misc thoughts on both?

Randall gave Chavez his first official loss which is a great achievment and was robbed in the rematch.

Whilst Jones two wins over Barrera are impressive his chin giving out to Pickney,McKinney and Morales are huge negatives against him.

Therefore I have to rate Randall higher.

Yup. Randall was better overall. Jones had a weak chin, more holes in his defense, and sometimes so-so conditioning. But when he was on, he could really box and he had some serious pop. Randall was the more technically sound fighter, with good pop in the right, better chin, better consistency.

Junior Jones is / was too small for Franklin Randall.... Jones fought like between 118 to 130 pounds.... Randall fought between 135 to 147 pounds.... Size doesn't alway matter, but Randall was a seasoned pro with power..... Randall KO's Jones....

Jones is rightfully "underrated" because he kept getting brutally KTFO every time he looked like he was going to emerge as a great fighter.

Randall is more comparable to Vince Phillips, a guy who always showed a lot of potential, but wasted his prime years on a drug habit. Like Phillips, he didn't get a shot at the big time until he was past his prime, but he made the most of what little time he had left. Jones' chin (or lack thereof, I should say) prevented him from truly living up to his talents at any stage in his career.

And IMO, beating an 80-0 Chavez is a slightly more impressive feat than beating a 50-0 Barrera.

I'd say Randall was definitely better and deserves to be rated higher.
