Swindell fought in 1985 - 2002 and fought some of the best around.

How would Swindell have done in the 1950s, as a light-heavy or as the fat tubby 245 pound heavyweight he became, and everything in between ?

Fringe at lightheavy. Journeyman at heavy. about the same as he was in his actual time frame.

Swindell could have been a good fighter if he had stayed away from the fridge. Jesus by the end of his career he looked like a basketball with arms.

Yeah, he was very fat, but that makes him more formidable in head-to-heads against super-heavyweights.
According to the logic of the forum. It's all about weight.
