If it's the version of Frankie that fought Chavez I'd take Frankie to beat him. Meldrick was a fantastically skilled boxer but he couldn't hurt Randall with anything and Frankie's right hand would find him eventually. Be a good fight

 

Randall beat Chavez once and was in the process of beating him again in their 2nd fight when Chavez himself decided to take advantage of a cut and quit.
Randall wasn't a victim of Chavez at all. At least not when they were prime or close too it.
(I know their was a 3rd fight, but Randall was already showing signs of the dementia that would eventually kill him)
Taylor vs Randall, Taylor probably wins a dec. Though Randall seemed to have Chavez's number. He wasn't as aggressive as Chavez was.

That in my opinion would give Taylor just enough room to get the decision over the "Surgeon " Frankie Randall

I think the best thing about Randall was his speed, and with Meldrick he could not match it. I think Meldrick would have to watch the right hand, but I think Meldrick wins a great fight by decision.
