Rich returns to the Middleweight division to take on Cung Le.. Who ya got?? I'm taking Rich on this one.
Huge Franklin fan so I think he wins this but realistically I should be biased toward Le because of my TKD background... Franklin is just the better fighter, in my opinion.
Le will be another addition to Rich's ''Retire already'' club I think. He will weather the storm of the 1st round and stop Cung late
Franklin will kick the **** out of Le IMO, The only guy Cung has fought close to Rich,s level is a shot Wanderlei Silva. Franklin is too well rounded and too accurate for Le.
How bout ol' Franklin? Clearly past his best but still putting ass whoppins on people. Massively underrated, hell, who knows how long he wouldve been the MW Champ if Silva hadn't come along.
Before Silva came along he was, I believe, 22-1 with his only loss coming to Machida outside the UFC. He's an amazing fighter and he beat Henderson (judges disagreed but realistically Henderson lost that fight and I was pissed when they announced that decision, Franklin was robbed). Clearly a Hall of Fame entrant after his career is all said and done.
He was/is beside Sonnen, one of the ONLY fighters who came at Silva with no fear..He took 2 horrific beatings and kept coming.. Who can call themselves a MMA fan and not have a man-crush on the guy?? Kept his humble roots as well..
Franklin's standup is no match for Le's skills. His way to victory lies in using his superior jiujitsu to win. Le's ground skills still leave a lot to be desired. I'll take Cung in this one to shock some people.
Le would be the underdog in this fight. Rich stand up is much better than le's. Rich should win this fight by but something tells me Lee is gonna KO rich
