Woah, you said "Fraud" instead of Floyd. Thats really clever man. You must be pretty smart to think up something that clever! And your reasoning is **** btw. Just because Mosley and Zab are better fighters than Oscar and Hatton doesn't mean that Hatton and Oscar aren't better WINS. Hatton was the undisputed 140 lb. champion, and Oscar was a weight class above Floyd. On top of that, Oscar and Floyd's fight was the biggest fight since like... Lewis-Tyson I believe, and one of the highest selling fights of all time, and one of the richest fights of all time. Neither Zab nor Mosley were champions, titlists... Zab was coming off TWO losses. On top of that, Cotto badly fouled Zab twice in the fight. Not really much of a victory. The Mosley fight was a good one, but **** Mosley is OLDER than Oscar, didn't even have a title, and Cotto BARELY won the fight. He got out WORKED by a man several years older than him. Remember that Mosley threw more, landed the same number of punches.. but when you break it down further he landed MORE power punches. The fight could have gone either way, and could have also very easily been a draw. His fight with Urkal really doesn't add much to his 2007 resume. Cotto had a good year.... but in no way was it near as good as Floyd. Hell Pavlik had a better yea as well, Why does it matter if Hatton can't beat many at 147? He was the CHAMPION at 140 lbs. Floyd has fought at 140, 135, and 130. His fight with Oscar wasn't at 147, so why doesn't that take away from his fight with Oscar? Thats you reasoning after all! Mosley beating Oscar years ago has nothing to do with how good of a win Floyd's over Oscar was. Your reasoning completely disregards established thinking on how the fighter of the year is selected! Let me just ask it very plainly: Why does it matter whether Hatton is competitive against the welterweight top 10? Floyd is not a true welterweight either. In fact he started his caree 10 lbs lighter than Hatton. This argument has been beaten to death in the wake of Hatton and Mayweather's fight. Why not? Boxing is a business too. Also another reason that DLH-Mayweather was a geat accomplishment... was 24/7!! Completely changed boxing TV, and sports TV in general. In fact not just TV, but all sports documentaries.
