To be fair to Audley, he did catch a re-run of the Collins-Eubank double-header mere days before his fight with Rogan. And I believe somebody stole his 'Best of Hot Chocolate' CD during the week of the first Danny Williams fight. People don't seem to take these things into account. If it was not for some kind of voodoo curse Harrison would still be unbeaten and probably a 3 time World Champion (He's already a 2-time WBF World Heavyweight Champion).
I'm starting to feel a bit sorry for Audley now, he's become so desperate that he's spouting **** that doesn't even make any sense. Is he trying to say that a sparring partner should go easy on him because his confidence is low and ego needs to be massaged? I think this is further proof that he was never cut out for the pro ranks. He's an intelligent guy outside of the ring so he should cut his losses and go and do something else. Boxing's not for you Audley mate, stop embarassing yourself and try and get your self esteem back by doing something you're good at.
So Audley was too slow and Haye was firing off combinations with ease leaving a gunshy Audley just covering up? That's how any sparring session or real fight would ever play out between them.
Audley should concentrate on trying to build his career back up.All this nonsense about fighting Haye is not going to help.He has a lot to do in a short time if people are going to take him seriously. He needs to get his head down and work not waste time chasing a Haye fight that he has done nothing to deserve and that at the moment would be deemed a mismatch.I fear as has always been the case with Aud he will continue down the i want Haye line, then lose his next fight to someone he should easily beat. Then as ever he will just look a fool.
Well I was 90% sure this was written by someone for a joke and somehow circulated around the net (because I had trouble believing that a boxer would actually write something like this, and because it has happened before). But when I checked Audely Harrison's official site I found the same article there.... .... which means I've been self owned. It was so ridiculous I really thought it was written as a joke.
Yet more excuses from Audley. He's more delusional than quite a few scousers I know regarding their title chances. atsch
He really opened himself up in that interview for ridicule, but credit where its due, he's honest with it.I feel for the bloke, god knows why...
I do too... he needs to leave boxing behind and put his mind into something else. I was gutted when Sprott KO'd him. I've never been an Audley hater.
What example is he setting to anyone, who fails to succeed..? If you don't succeed try and try again. Audley Harrison, will keep trying......
Mores the pity. Its not that he is not likeable, he just should never have beleived his own promoters hype. Give it up Audley while you still have a milligram of credability.
