Who gets laid out cold first?? And how long does it take? This content is protected [yt]gevbyHDe6Mc[/yt] Could go either way with these glass jaws. Predictions??
I think Harrison would be able to KO Fields - Audley does have a bit of pop, and this guy puts Herbie Hide in the iron chinned category.
Sprott landed a wicked punch that was timed to perfection, and now audleys chinny. When was he dropped or knocked out before that mate ? Lazy ? yes
You'd think getting decked by Williams and rocked by those tomato cans he fought would have clued ya in!!atsch How many times does Fraudley's glass jaw have to get shattered before you admit it's Grade A China???:huh
Harrison is a better fighter than Fields, and thus I'd go with him by KO. The worst part for Fields is that he likes to smother his opponent and throw lots of arm punches, enabling any B-grade fighter to time him and land something huge on the inside. Monte had a ridiculously easy time getting him out of there, and he was never at all threatened. Oh, and Zak, I thought you'd get a kick out of that thread I started.
Williams can bang but Sprott can't, Williams hurt Skelton who's got a good chin. Audley would KO fields though, Fields paws worse than Audley and Is easier to hit with a counter right.
Harrison would KO Fields in my opinion. I find it kind of funny that as soon as a boxer is decked of knocked out then he is instantly labled as having a glass jaw/china chin. Williams can hit hard and Sprott caught Harrison with a perfectly timed shot that Harrison didn't see coming (insidently, Sprott didn't see it either. He said after the fight that he had his eyes closed when he threw it). Im not saying that Harrison has a Margarito-esque chin but just because he got KTFO and floored doesn't mean he has a patheticly weak chin. There is a middle ground you know? It doesn't have to be black or white. Its like the way Lewis is considerd weak in the chin department. Just because he got knocked out twice people think he has a china chin. These same people seem to forget the fact that he got caught clean by two monsterous punches and that he took some heavy shots of Tua, Klitscko, Tyson, Bruno, etc and didn't go down.
I agree with the logic of your post but not as much on Harrison. I grade glass chins less on guys getting stopped and more on who hurts them and how. Fighters who get KOd by a big puncher shouldn't be considered glass-jawed. Guys who get dropped or hurt by journeymen become suspect, as obviously do those who get stopped by that sort of fighter. To that end, I think it's fair to question the chin of Chad Dawson (not glass, but not great, as he has been down three times and badly hurt by Johnson), Amir Khan and Harrison as well. He's been wobbled by lesser fighters. Cotto is another who warrants mention here, although seemingly he is taking shots better at 147 than he did at 140. We'll find out just how good that chin is in a few weeks!
Easily Harrison. Skill-wise he's a full level above the crude, slow, Fields. The first time I saw Fields fight I said to myself, "The first decent heavyweight this guy fights is going to starch him." What I'd like to know is why in the hell Manny Steward ever bothered wasting his time with Fields?
He probably thought Fields had great potential as a guy who could tie up and lean on his opponent and win via the jab. Boy, was he wrong.
They both have suspect chins. Fraudley is the bigger sissy, but has significantly better punching technique. It would probably take 3-4 rounds of lackluster action before Fraudley has the confidence to go for the kill. Harrison KO4
