Joe Frazier, the version who was a clear winner over Ali in 1971.

Larry Holmes, the version who stopped Shavers in their second fight in 1979.

Mike Tyson, the version who dominated and stopped Pinklon Thomas in 1987.

Lennox Lewis, the version who obliterated Michael Grant in two in 2000.

If these guys had a heavyweight version of the Super Six, a "Fantastic Four" h2h tournament, who would come out on top?

Please vote and explain your choices :good

i see frazier beating holmes and lewis but loosing from tyson.
i see holmes beating tyson and lewis but loosing from frazier.
i see lewis beating tyson but loosing from frazier and holmes.
i see tyson beating frazier but loosing from holmes and lewis.
so frazier and holmes winning 2 out of 3.
tyson and lewis winning 1 out of 3.

There must be more than one opinion on this in the Classic Forum surely?

I would only pick a 1966/67 Muhammad Ali over a 1987 Mike Tyson with any real confidence TBH.

The only thing I can say with a fair amount of certainty is that Lewis beats Frazier. Lewis/Holmes, Lewis/Tyson, Holmes/Frazier are all pick-em fights. Tyson would probably beat Holmes and Frazier.

So Frazier might win 1, Holmes might win 2, Lewis wins one and might win 3, and Tyson wiins 2 and might win 3. So on that basis, I guess the edge goes to Tyson.

So they all fight each other

    FRAZIER

    Frazier over Holmes

    Tyson over Frazier

    Frazier over Lewis

    HOLMES

    Holmes over Tyson

    Frazier over Holmes

    Lewis over Holmes

    TYSON

    Tyson over Frazier

    Holmes over Tyson

    Tyson over Lewis

    LEWIS

    Frazier over Lewis

    Lewis over Holmes

    Tyson over Lewis

    FINAL

Tyson over Frazier (Frazier sticks around a little longer here but gets blown out anyway)

I like Frazier's style most out of the four, but I think I would go with Tyson to come out on top. I think he would definitely beat Smokin' Joe and Holmes, I'm not sure how a Tyson-Lewis fight would go, but I can see Holmes upsetting the apple cart by outboxing and outpointing Lewis.

I see Lewis beating the other three.

I think Holmes can beat the remaining two.

And I believe Tyson can beat Frazier.

I have the most confidence in the Lewis prediction.

The remaining bouts are trickier to pick.

    So, Lewis wins the tournament.

Prime for prime it comes down to either Holmes, or Tyson. Prime Holmes woulda outboxed Lewis, and prime Tyson woulda KO'd Lewis. All 3 of them beat Frazier.

BTW - if you wanna take Lewis at his VERY best... Golota was his peak performance, not Grant. Tyson's peak performance IMO was against Tyrell Biggs.

All of these fights were pretty tough to pick for me except for Frazier-Holmes and Tyson-Frazier.
