Can anyone throw this fight up on youtube instead of that other
(not very good) site? That one doesn't seem to work.

For some reason, this fight is hard to find. It's funny that Cummings had filed a lawsuit
    against airing it.

I have a so-so copy on video of the fight from 1981. It was more of a club show rather than a real big event.......... The paper in Los Angeles claimed Frazier earned a measly 80,000 G's for his draw with Cummings...... I have NO IDEA what Cummings was paid...... Probably a large pepperoni pizza, two-liter bottle of Pepsi and a hooker / motel room.....

People laugh and scoff at "Ali-Berbick" in the Bahamas later in 1981, but that production was much better then what "Frazier-Cummings" pulled off........

One of those file downloading sites. If you pay, you get premium downloading. If you don't pay, you probably won't see the fight.

Why would Cummings be against it being shown. It just gives him a little popularity. I don't see why that is bad.

I have an apalling copy of it that is really flickery. frazier was in bad shape, he kept trying but whilst he still favoured his left and doubled it up it was a much wider less effective punch and joe just couldnt see or get out of the way of anything that was coming his way. joe got hurt in this fight. cummings was raw novice material albeit strong who wasnt experienced enough to capitalise when he had joe hurt. it was embaracing realy. the draw protected fraziers legacy but did nothing for him.

Jumbo "Dumbo" Cummings was raw and green back in 1981, but the sum ***** had a rock hard physique...... Joe Frazier was still Frazier, but bloated a tad at 229 pounds and slower than a snail in the early going of the 10 rounder...... I thought Frazier picked-it-up in the middle rds......... The fight was close......... The "Draw" verdict wasn't all that bad or corrupt......... I've seen far worse.......

you are right it was close. neither dominated entirely. I think joe was crazy to take such a live opponent after such an absence from the ring. ten hard rounds far too early. it was bad matchmaking. just like ali going after berbick. foreman and holmes relaunched themselves gently and it did them more good.

Fight was close my ass. I heard the referee asked Frazier if he even wanted to continue or not by the 8th round. Cummings was whoopin that ass. He was given a lousy draw.

True... Foreman and Holmes came back slowly..... Foreman real slowly......

Foreman's '87 fight with "Fireman" Steve Zouski was weak, but it was a start..... Foreman KO5 Zouski.....

Holmes' '91 comeback against Eddie "The Fat Slob" Gonzalez was a horrible 10 rounder that I taped off the USA network...... But I'll credit Gonzalez for hanging in there for 10 rds and giving Holmes a good workout.......
