You bore me. Please look at film on Frazier before posting this stuff. You also might want to check out some of the guys he's dominated to find out just how good Smokin' Joe was. Now please proceed to your local "Useful Idiots Anonymous" meeting and come back when you have some sense.
With the amount of bull**** that gets passed around on this site, if everyone took that approach, there wouldn't be a ****in forum! *****!
I never said Ali was not good because we all know he is. What I was saying was Frazier is over rated and people are using his wars with Ali as a means to bolster his 'greatness'. Styles make fights. Foreman made him look silly but he almost beat Ali who embarrassed Foreman. yet people think Frasier would KTFO most HW's of the last 20 years? Pfff.
And there Frazier. Smoking. Hes boobing and weaving. What shot is he going to throw next? Will it be the urpercut left right? Will it be a straight right? A jab? Counter right of Alis jab? Jab to the body? Double jab? Its the left hooK! And again LEFT HOOK! and its another LEFT AGAIN. 12rd later Frazier is smoking hot in this round you just dont know where the next punch is going to come from OH A LEFT HOOK! We didnt expect that one...............................
Someone has to tell it like it is: You're an imbecile. No-one is necessarily saying that Frazier would "dominate" Lewis and Bowe etc, but that is irrelevant. Frazier belonged to his era, and he competed against fighters much closer to his size. In that era and in that weight region, he was a proven ATG heavyweight talent with fantastic skills. These are irrefutable facts to us non-imbeciles. :good
I am sorry if I hurt feelings amonst fellow boxing fans. I understand Frazier is a hero to many, but certainly it can't be based on historic achievements, track record or phenomenal display of boxing finesse. There's just too little in each department to rank Frazier among the top 10 HW ATG IMO. Being a brave warrior and being in memorable battles alone doesn't make one an all-time great boxer IMO. Longevity, discipline, defending titles/belts for several years, outstanding abilities and delivering proof of being able to overcome adversity/bouncing back from losses are main qualities I'd look for.
Conclusion: You do not understand boxing. You think anyone who fights in the style that Frazier used is therefore an uncultured slugger, which is what you actually mean by your euphemism "brave warrior". You clearly do not understand or appreciate his skillset at all. Frazier is one of the most skilled heavyweights of all-time. He was not one of the most versatile fighters ever, but he was extremely skilled at fighting in his style, and very very effective. I fear you are about 14 years old, have watched clips of Foreman-Frazier on youtube, and are now thoroughly embarrassing yourself on this forum. Seriously, take up golf. The Ryder Cup is on now. :good
Ali would put Marciano in a wheel chair and have him eating through a straw for the rest of his life. Please for the love of God, watch a fight or to, how the **** is Marciano going to get to Ali? You think he's walking through Ali's jab, Ali is dancing around that flat footed dude boxing his ears off. Ali stops this dude between 8-11 rounds, point blank.
Ok, well I have a college degree in Communication and Business Management, you aren't better than me in any way, shape, form, or fashion...that being said can you please name the fighter that Marciano beat who was in the same league as a prime Ali, thanks I appreciate it.
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rXxTv7k_5RY[/ame] I guess you know your boxing better than Ali?atsch
Never mind...if we didn't have idiots making many **** threads every day, it wouldn't be ESB General.
