Both Frazier and Ali played their respective roles well.
Ali as the New Voice of Black America, and Frazier, the old symbol of subservient American Negro.
Their fights split America down the middle as clearly as the Civil War.

They were able to silence Ali's voice, but he's still here!

That's actually the first thing I though of; that he'll be pissed that Ali outlived him.

Send our regards to the boxing greats that preceded you Joe. The boxing heavens just become even more beautiful and glorious because of you entering in. Mortal's loss, heaven's gain. Much respect, RIP Champ...

I think Joe realised that when your on the death bed all the negative feelings that you have just dont matter and its good to know that he went back to the source with a laugh.

This incredible fighter was so disparaged, disrespected and ridiculed throughout the years. However, tremendous personality, incredible talent and toughness rewrote the book on the motivated athlete or just the focused and motivated individual who wants to succeed! By any means necessary! And he overcame all the BS to be one of the elite and most important athletes of the last century. He's not only a part of boxing history but a part of American History!
