no he doesn't. it'd be a slugfest rather than a boxing match and tyson would prevail head to head. frazier is the greater figher though.

I would favor the frazier of this night against any HW outside of Foreman/liston...certainly Douglas fought a good fight against tyson..but Frazier in 7 (maybe earlier)

sorry bubs...unless your name is george foreman or perhaps lennox lewis...the only way you're gonna beat tyson is to outmaneuver him with boxing skills. joe frazier isn't gonna outbox or outfox tyson. he's gonna try to outwork him with his much superior stamina - ...and tysons' iron chin will stand up to frazier's punches long enough for tyson's straight punches to slow down frazier before frazier outworks tyson. tyson has a superior offensive arsenal and is known to take heavy punishment and come right back (ruddock). he only gets frustrated if you outfox him like douglas or holy (fights after lewis don't count). frazier's left hook is all tyson would have to watch out for and frazier was easy to hit for a puncher like tyson. it'd be great fight. on the other hand...frazier beats holyfield, bowe, holmes, ali, ; tyson loses to them all except bowe. frazier was definitely the greater fighter.

Frazier would beat the **** out of Douglas.
I'm sure that version of Douglas would put up a valiant effort but Smokin' Joe would wear him down and batter him all over the ring. Frazier didn't come to play or expecting an easy night, he's all business and there's NO WAY Douglas can handle it.

And, yes, a peak Frazier would beat the **** out of any version of Tyson too.

I think Frazier would have put on the neccasary pressure to make Douglas give up as he had done before but then again that was a different Douglas that night in Tokyo and a less than Par Tyson....Frazier by tko 10-11

FOTC, 205 lb Joe Frazier KO's Douglas, Foreman and Liston all inside 10 rounds. Post Manilla Joe Frazier got knocked out in 5 rounds by Foreman and Liston would probably do the same. Douglas could knock out post Manilla Frazier like Foreman did but he'd get knocked out himself if the fight goes more than 6 rounds. Douglas doesn't hit nowhere near as hard as Foreman and only Liston's jab was arguably stronger than Foremans.

i love Frazier...but I have a hard time picturing any version of him to beat Foreman...I can't cry like the tyson fans and say well he was out of his prime ya know!!! LOL, I see style wise liston/Foreman being a mountain that Joe would need to fight the perfect fight to win...and I don't see the adaptability in him to make the necesary changes to overcome the mountain??? I would love to see it...but have a hard time picturing it!

A historically insignificant fighter with no big wins before or after KO'd tyson with 1 combo. If you don't think the Frazier that knocked Ali on his ass couldnt do it to Tyson youre ****ing stupid.

yes...those guys outmaneuvered / outboxed him. neither engaged in a slugfest else they'd have lost. frazier is a brawler - not a boxer like buster or holyfield. it's a styles thing. only foreman or maybe lewis could beat tyson in a slugfest imo. i'm not a tyson apologist - the truth is the truth and revisionist history or denying isn't going to change it so i try to be truthful with my logic & opinions. besides iron will, you shouldn't compare frazier and holy against tyson. they fight very different. just like ali & frazier against foreman - but you already knew that.
