this would be a awesome match up,,, well potentially very interesting because of their body shapes/sizes ,,,, I wouldn't count Dwight out, probably would take Joe but wow a potential fantastic match up :good
I go with Qawi, about the same weight and look at the first holyfield match up he fought at cruiserweight,,he had speed and better defense than Frazier...he also went 7 rounds with a giant Foreman ,Frazier could not do that with a less formidable one. This is a close fight, both have about the same endurance, slight power to Frazier.chin definatly to Qawi...could go either way but I like Dwight.
Frazier in 3 at the most. Frazier's style and bodypunching is a nightmare for ltheavies. Like Joe said, he is made to take a heavy punch, but when a small man takes a heavy punch, watch out. Frazier pushes him to the ropes, goes to the body up to the head and KO. Braxton has NOTHING to hold Joe off. He Q is REALLY overrated on these boards. & btw, the 70s Foreman was a million times better than old happy Geoorge
Yes you should delete yours ,you imbecile..Qawi didn't even fight foreman at his best clearly past his prime and took that fight on less than 3 weeks notice being outweighed by 30 pounds or so.Holyfield was a young up and comer and Qawi in their first fight would have won if not for better strategy and not knowing Holyfields ability to get second winds. Frazier would be in the fight of his life against a much smarter ,more skilled fighter, really the only thing Frazier has as usual is a lbetter left hook in this match up,nothing else.Frazier also liked to punch from underneath his opponets.Qawi at 5'7 would be the one digging in from the bottom so im not even sure if Fraziers height advantage is a good thing since they had similar styles. Its a 50/50 fight but chin once again will determine the winner here.
Die-hard Qawi fan here. I wouldn't be completely stunned if he outwitted and outboxed Frazier but I think this more than likely ends up with him getting overwhelmed and stopped, especially if both are at their peaks (btw, which version of Qawi are we talking about--the light-heavy, the cruiser, or the heavy?) Qawi overachieved against plenty of bigger men but at the end of the day, other than a completely shot Leon Spinks, he just doesn't have any notable wins against men who weighed more than 175 lbs.
Qawis prime was the early 1980's.If he kept up with cruiser holyfield in the first fight I think he fends off a slower ,less lengthy fighter with less chin, could go either way.The foreman fight sold me with Qawi, frazier wouldn't last that long imop.
