This just occurred to me, dont know if its been done before. Who would win out of these 2? They had very very similar styles, almost identical. Any comments? Could Frazier outwork Tua or could Tua find home his lethal left hook??
Both. And in the order you posted . Tua inside 10. Coming at Tua is something only Ibeabuchi tried to do out of those who survived him , and even he took some rests by retreating and jabbing which only resulted in scoring those few occasions in favor of himself because of the stupid scoring .
After Frazier has pounded Tua's vulnerable midsection with debilitating body punches, an exhausted Tua would be ready to drop. Remember that the feather fisted Byrd hurt Tua with body shots, imagine what Smokin' Joe would do.
Tua's style is what Frazier's style would be if he'd had some kind of horrific back injury and couldn't move his waist any more
Sir Smokin Bert Cooper KOs both before round 5. Only slicksters like Moorer and Holyfield could survive a war with a prime Cooper. It would be madness to go right at him like Frazier and Tua would surely try.
Good fight. Tua the heavier hitter, Frazier the better fighter who was vulnerable against monsters. I'd take a Prime Joe to fight with enough smarts to beat Tua, but the past it Joe who walks in straight lines would probably get knocked out early. Too easy to hit, with a poor track record against great power. Frazier nicks it on skill, but he truly has to be at his best and smartest to be the favorite.
The version of Frazier that fought in the fight of the century does not have to dig that deep to beat Tua. The guy I see having to dig deep and a lot deeper than ever before is Tua and that's just to hang in there, not winning rounds. To me, he's in deep waters much more shark infested than Ibeabuchi had him in. And Ike was brought in as an opponent in that fight and not expected to provide much of a stern test and that fight turned out a whole lot different than that. Tua does not have the footwork or upper body movement of Frazier. Not even close. and if Tua cannot absorb all those body shots & I don't think he has the conditioning to, the second half of the bout is going to be very tough on the Tuaman to stay in there.
frazier is a great fighter but david is very hard match up, he is bigger, very durable and has latent power that is on par with foreman with a heart to stay in the fight. i think that could be enough for a upset, i vote for tua.
