Frazier vs Usyk

On paper probably the 3rd worst style matchup I can think of for Usyk behind Tyson and Lewis.

I'd still favour Usyk against Frazier though, but it would be tough, in the vein of Breidis, but closer - maybe a split decision.
15 rounds would probably edge to towards Smokin' Joe for me

 

Usyk, Frazier never fought a southpaw and I don't believe his style would work against one, Frazier wouldn't be able to sneak the left hook in as Usyk could measure him with the right and just turn him, you can see the wide right hand coming a mile off when you're a southpaw, you have to have a good straight right and you have to be able to mess with the range and get them to step into range like how Joshua did against Martin, or Wilder against Ortiz in the second fight, not very good examples, but you get the idea, these aren't tools Frazier had technically or physically

 

That's a very good point, Joe's left hook was his biggest weapon - would it be effective against a master soutpaw like Usyk?

 

Frazier KOes Usyk in 6. Usyk doesn't have the firepower to Frazier off of him. Frazier breaks Usyk's body down.

 

a good left hook is always dangerous against a standard southpaw because a southpaw will always look to circle away from the orthodox’s right hand witch can mean the walk straight in the left hook.

but usyk isn’t a standard southpaw and he uses a lot of unorthodox movement and angles.

 

He's 2-0, although does have the pedigree to push him all the way

 

Frazier has the perfect style and tools to exploit Usyk’s weaknesses.

Fraziers weakness is large power punchers. Usyk is not a large power puncher.

 

Honestly, I think Frazier is a horrible matchup for Usyk.

Frazier would be outmatched in Every aspect of boxing - punch power included.

 

Usyk has pillows that's his downfall
Feazier would be all over him like a cheap suit and can easily match his pace

Usyk beats Frazier on points but has a torrid time doing so due to the style clash. Usyk traditionally hates fighting smaller come forward types like Frazier. They almost always give him problems.
