Simply premise, which punch was better.

Frazier was a little more consistent but I think the "Suzie Q" has a edge in power so I give it to Marciano (very close)

    What do you guys think

Frazier’s hook was his own heel, he’s lucky he never fought someone to fully take advantage of it but Quarry got close the first time. Louis would have ripped his head off if JF threw his hook the way he did against him -no one should throw there hook like Frazier that is silly he succeeded despite it, the weight goes from front to back whipped through - not off the front foot, reaching or “at” a target. Louis had the best hook, Frazier just threw his a lot - I don’t even know what a Suzie Q is? Did Marciano say that? I don’t know what it even looks like.

    Fraziers Hook
I saw it up close and personal at his gym on a 250 lbs bag. This was in the mid 90's and bare fisted. The leverage he got on his hook was unbelievable.

What was Frazier like at the time? - seems like he'd be exactly what you'd expect, silent boss of every room.

Fraziers hook seems to be more accurate and faster. Marciano's right probably had more raw power.

Hit the nail on the head. Rocky's right hand had extreme power. But Frazier had a terrific left hook that he could throw all night. Also Frazier's hook was closer to the opponents chin than the right cross so it would land with more frequency.

Frazier's style was completely predicated on his left hook, to him it was what many otherwise would place the same emphasis on with the jab. His left hook was a multifaceted swiss army knife, he threw it in every different kind of way for different demands of situations. It's really something miraculous to behold, imo.

If you're asking what punch hit harder, i'd go with Suzie Q, but Marciano without Suzie Q is still an extremely dangerous fighter. That was a minor part of his arsenal. Frazier without his left hook simply isnt Frazier anymore.

Before Goldman tinkered with Marciano's style ,sacrificing a little power for combinations,I think Rocky hit harder but not so accurately, or often with his Sunday punch.Joe had the ability to throw and reload immediately.Goldman developed a powerful left hook with Rocky which made him a two handed ko puncher. In the later stages of his career, after the Walcott fights, Rocky probably didn't hit any harder than Frazier,or if he did the margin would have been minimal imo.

That part that I bolded is objectively wrong. Frazier was the most successful heavyweight in the world for a few years. In that time the left hook was his punch that landed most often and did the most damage.

If he succeeded in spite of it, rather than because of it, why exactly did he succeed? It wasn't his jab. It wasn't his right hand. It wasn't his size. It wasn't his chin. In fact critics of Frazier often accuse him of having no jab, no right hand, not enough size, or a poor chin. The left hook is as hard to avoid as an answer here as it was as a punch.

Was that before the lawmower accident? I recall SI did an article on Joe and Ali that i read the day i was discharged from the military. Said Joe lost part of his foot. 1997?

You hit the nail on the head regarding Joe being able to reload that hook over and over. Like a machine. I believe Ali described Frazier's hook as a "damn evil thing" shortly after their first fight.

Been replicating forms of hooks in my training because it's my favorite punch and i gotta say Frazier's hook is essentially the hook of Joe Louis but longer

Unless i've been doing it wrong of course.

He threw it so fast and from such a variety of angles that it was difficult to time him for a counter.

Frazier’s hook was a glorious weapon. Was more like a sniper rifle compared to Marciano’s 12 gauge.

I edge it to Marciano because I think he was the stronger puncher he just wasn’t as accurate or fast with it.
