When did I ever say he fought a world class opponent for christ sake? Are you just making things up now, to improve your argument? I said he fought a few solid European level guys, and Tatevosyan, who went the distance with Bute got starched quick time. That is an indictation he's heading towards world class level I'm sure we will see plenty of faults in Froch, I've already seen all of them. Pretty slow, defensive holes, and lazy at times. I still think he can beat Taylor. You talk like their respective competition means everyone should pick Taylor. Did you pick Taylor to beat Pavlik, when he had beaten no elite fighters? I bet you did. But you see, you don't award fighters the W by "boxrec", the other guy can throw punches too!
I love how people seem to have selective memories utterly negating the fact Pavlik only fought one 'named' guy (Miranda - a joke) prior to exposing Taylor yet seem absolutely oblivious to the many parallels with Froch Pavlik has. I think Froch's a talent, some don't; big deal. Time will prove me right or wrong it is what it is I won't lose sleep over it. Froch'll win though I believe; Jermain's never been in with anyone like Froch, as hard a puncher as Pavlik but bigger with the ability to punch from angles in a style Jermain will be utterly unused to - how's he going to train for that? You know any sparrers that'll fight like Froch? I don't. You could say he has fought no one and you'd be right but that doesn't make him a bad boxer, you only need to look at him and see his effectiveness to realize what he brings to the table - just ask yourself whether Taylor would have a better KO % versus the same opposition? More to the point Jermain may have 'names' on his resume but many feel he lost at least one of his Hopkins fights + the fight with Winky then when you add the fact he lost to Pavlik twice while at the same time looking bad - and many say losing - to Spinks; a man below Jermain's weight division you can't credibly praise this man which begs the question: Why place him on a higher pedastool than Froch? Names? Names he lost to? Froch'll win and if he doesn't he doesn't I was wrong but I believe in my heart he'll do the business on Jermain and truly make a name for himself in boxing and will go onto superfights with Kessler & Pavlik.
yep this is very true about pavlik, but i still believe that jermain is a class above froch, i like froch but hes not the man at 168 for me
...come, come, you pretend you're reasonable and objective and then you talk about selective memory... ...let me remind you of the kind of poster you are, if a look at the signature above your avatar is not enough for that: http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=71307&page=2 :hi:
You think Froch is a bigger puncher than Pavlik amd that Taylor has a sloppy defence compared to Froch? Froch is a sucker for a right hand. Watch Taylor nail him all night with the right.
