For a long time Max Baer was listed as having lost to Art Oliver in his pro debut.

I was actually one of the ones on boxrec who did research the debunk the art oliver myth that one poster trolled for years. We finally put a end to it! Btw Ben, I did not get to answer your question in another thread. I think Baer was more durable than Willard. why? I think Baer took on more punchers with more success for a longer period of time than willard. The two best punchers(and arguebably two ONLY punchers) willard ever faced, knocked him out.

 

Hope Im not intruding,I too feel Baer had a top chin,but Willard had one as wel,l Willard took the punches of Gunboat Smith,and I beleive him to be a fine puncher.
