The two great Australian middleweights. Who takes this fight between two different styles? The tenacious Henneberry or the slick Sands?

Interesting matchup. I could see an argument for it going either way but I would have to pick Sands in a series. He was a class or half a class above Henneberry and you have to figure the style matchup would favor Sands.

    Nice one DPW.

This one's pretty easy mate. Henneberry's confidence pre-fight get the better of him, so......
....by the 6th round Fearless Fred, who's been picked apart by the ever present Sands, accidenly lands an elbow on the head of Dave, followed by a headbutt under the chin and a flurry of punches below the belt and the back of the head. Joe Wallis has no other option but to terminate proceedings.

Sands take the verdict via Dsq, and all bets are forfeited. The pre-fight money that Henneberry placed on himself is returned to him.

Fingers crossed they continue with a further 9 encounters, a la, Henneberry/Richards.

i agree that Sands was the better and classier fighter. For all intensive purposes, he should win comfortably, but I am taking the odds and backing Henneberry to use some rough house tactics and come up with an upset win. Some times the rugged aussies have that knack of causing major troubles for their classier countrymen. I base it on nothing, but i reckon Henneberry might just surprise with a late knockout in at least one of 3 bouts.
