Barry Mcguigan's son seems like abit of a ******, when it comes to nutrition. Why on earth is he restricting carbs from Flintoffs diet..? Only in boxing can ******s be ether strength & Nutrition coaches.

This "no red meat" lark is becoming a bit of a myth. Steak ,abielt certain cuts, is found to contain healthy fats and stearic acid which actually helps lower cholesteral its also full of CLA which targets belly fat, and also fats supply the energy when on a low carb diet like freddy appears to be. Get ya steak down u freddy!!!! Check me with my diet knowledge lol. Only cause im in the process of trying to cut myself. :bbb

Freddie seems like a genuinely nice guy, and you can't fault him for wanting to have a go at something he loves. Good luck to him, if I was in his position I'd go for it too.

Having to eat carbs is another myth in dieting. Havnt you heard of paleo? The caveman way of dieting. I know a few boxers who make weight like this . ive tried it just ****ing around in the gym and youll never feel fitter. Grains should have no place in a humans diet. Were genetically made for them.

If you don't get carbs in your diet, your body will start converting protein into glucose.

    Carbs> Fats> Protein

Carbs are the primary source of energy, then fats, and then Protein..? But you never want to get to this stage.

You want Protein to repair and regenerate, and nothing else.

Carbs & Protein work together, along with fats.

So its stupid to cut one micro nutrient completely out of your nutrition.

Note: You can do what you ****ing want, if you feel great..? Knock yourself out.

ahhhh your talking abouit leptin levels yeah??? thats where cheat days come in!!! im sure freddy has not cut his carbs completly. im sure its just at a certain stage of his training camp seeing as he was probably a fat **** and needed to lose weight to gain speed and mobility. The human body can manage fine without carbs. its just knowing when to eat them to maximise making weight.

It ****s me off when ******s spout their opinion as fact!

I have used Paleo time and time again to make weight. Post workout I will have fruit and sweet potato. Rest of the time it's fatty meat for the win.

I know exactly what i am talking about.

Your body is not adapting to fats, its just using them as energy..? what's the big geoscientific break through here, what's the big ****ing historical discovery you..?

Your body users Carbs & Fats as energy.

Your body users protein to build and repair.

Your body can only create glycogen from Carbs, and nothing else, NOT FATS!

Your body can break down fats into glucose for energy, and also protein can be broken down into glucose..? but FATS cannot be broken down to create glycogen, to be stored in muscles, and used as energy.

If you want to lose weight..? fine do your ****ing stupid caveman diet.

If you want to be 100% physically..? No.

    Sit down...
