Going from being knocked out twice by journeymen, to being P4P King; have you ever wondered where Pac would be without Roach? Do you think Pac would be the Manny we know today if he were not to have Roach? Yes or no? Explain.
roach played the biggest role, but manny played half of it as well....and the promoters....without them hes still in the philippines planting rice
The REAL Team Pacquiao: Pacquiao Roach (trainer) Buboy Fernandez (Pac's best friend since childhood/asst. trainer) Alex Ariza (strength and conditioning coach) Miguel Diaz is hired as cutman on a fight-by-fight basis after Joe Chavez left. FORMER Team Members that deserve no beef: Lenny Dejesus (cutman) Joe Chavez (cutman) Michael Moorer (asst. trainer) There are more but this is it off the top of my head THE LEECHES: His entourage Jake Joson (chief of staff, whatever that means...he's the douche who always finds a way to the camera pumping his fists behind Buffer as if he were fighting) Michael Koncz (advisor, which really means Arum's eyes and ears to make sure Manny stays with Top Rank no matter what) Bob Arum (lead promoter and deserves a lot of credit for Pacquiao's rise from star to superstar but is skimming a lot of money off the top, former Pacquiao archnemesis until he realized Morales was on the way out and Marquez was unmarketable at the time...if you can't beat them join them) FORMER LEECHES: Murad Muhammad (brought Pac to the U.S. then fleeced him until Roach got famed boxing attorney Judd Burstein to free him of the slave wage contract he had...remember the gloves controversy in Pac-Morales I??? Murad was so greedy he didn't care about concessions, he just wanted the fight signed and the purse delivered) Rod Nazario (former manager when Pac was under Murad...pocketed more than his fair share) Gary Shaw (looked out more for Manny than Murad but wanted more options than the contract allowed...that's when he got bitter)
