Two of the finest ever light heavies. Certainly THE two best British ones. No disrespect to people like Denis Andries. I take Conteh's cleaner boxing as a tiebreaker over 15 rugged rounds.

Mills face first style would not be best suited to a clean jabber, Conteh should win....however Len Harvey would at his best provide stern opposition to either, despite his ko loss to Mills when past his best and given little time to train...

Yeah, Conteh would really be able to use his skills here imo, and it's not like he's not game for a rough natured tear up himself. Conteh for me, points though.

I have little doubt that Conteh would prove too cultured for Freddie, and if Freddie did force John ninto the Trenches ....Then Conteh could park the refinements and get down and dirty with the best. i think Conteh's ruthless attitude, that Venom and spitefulness the young Conteh displayed, would ultimately prove too much for Freddie, i fear Conteh's head may come into play somewhere along the way. and John may not get too many accolades for sportsmanship from the Freddie fans.

Where do you get off calling Mills one of the finest Light Heavies ever? I wouldn't put him in a top 20 or even top 30, I doubt.
