Two aggressive Rock-em Sock-em Lt Heavyweight slam bangers who raised both eyebrows and temperatures in their peak performances, Freddie surprisingly did win the title from previous conqueror, (and apparently weight troubled) Gus Lesnovich, Yvone surprisingly did NOT win the title from Archie Moore, despite giving ancient Archie's CV a rather first draft of the Dead Sea Scrolls look in that amazing first round, Ancient Arch of course went on to perform his own version of Lazarus - with a pet phoenix in tow ! a truely amazing encounter. Neither Freddie or Yvone, as proved, were perfect predators, but what they lacked in technique they almost made up for in desire and commitment. one might say two lion-hearted tigers, with perhaps a fang or claw missing, but always willing to trade, exciting and dangerous.

Fearless Freddie Mills or Give em hell Yvone Durelle ?

They might have banned such a match. Bad for the spectators heart.
But I would take Freddie Mills as he beat a tough Gus Lesnevich, a former
tough champion who was a step up in class from Durelle...

I would go for Mills, but he would be in for a very tough fight.

This would be some fight. Durelle was as strong as an ox and Freddie had the heart of a lion.
    The winner?
    The spectators.
