now freddie fought against heavyweights at times so this match up against a cruiserweight is not to daft and i think would make a cracking fight 12 rounds at cruiserweight freddie mills vs carl thompson
It's a better match up than Mills-Foster thats for sure. It would be some sort of tear up but I'd have to favour Thompson here. Both had huge hearts and exciting styles but Thompson has the edge in size and for a fighter of Mills' limited capabilities thats enough. Remember Mills got stopped and beaten down by Bruce Woodcock who although a natural heavyweight was little bigger than Carl Thompson. I'd look for Thompson via a UD or late stoppage.
