he landed a nice body shot and I think a decent jab buts thats it, Enzo had an awful habit of doing this kind of pull counter left hook move, haye anticipated this and followed his jab with a straight right as enzo pulled back, and the rest is history

We all know a few things contributed to the mistake that night.

The fluffy hair after forgetting his brylcream gel.

That sprint to the ring.

Having to listen to Joe Calzaghe's stupid bint waffling on about shoes and handbags while putting up with crazy Enzo Calzaghe's driving in the Vauxall People Carrier ****ed his mental state.

Enzo was doomed from the start.

Even with all that happening he cut Haye and badly hurt him.

I have no doubt that on another night Haye would have been the one getting badly knocked out :deal

As I said Im well up for the Klit-Haye fight, but before making my prediction I rewatched a few fights, cos to me as a boxing fan? Thats what its all about, if your going to debate a subject, you might as well do your homework first!
So I watched haye vs Macarinelli, with only memories of Haye handing out an asswhupping. Thats what can happen when you watch a fight live, you tend to only remember the outcome.

So much to my surprise watching the fight again, I was shocked to see Enzo popping the jab into Hayes face, & land some great left hooks, which even staggered Haye at the start of the fight. You could see at the end of the 1st round Haye walking back to his corner annoyed with himself, but Haye in the second round started landing the overhand right, it was so fast Enzo didnt have an answer againt the bigger man. Hayes natural speed & power are great equilizers.

So what I took from it was that if a natural cruiser like Enzo can stagger Haye with crisp left hooks & cut him open with a jab in the space of a round? Whats Wladimir going to do to him if he lands the same punches? Cos Haye is the smaller man this time, so it aint gonna be as easy to time Wlads jab & land his big right as Wlad has the bigger reach & his chin could be safely out of reach.

If the Enzo-Haye fight told me one thing? Its that Enzo showed the way to beat Haye, & Wlad just happens to have the tools to do the job more effectively than the welshman.

Come on, I'm no huge Haye fan, but Enzo was never in that fight apart from turning up and lasting a round.

I can't wait for the Spinks dominating Tyson thread and how it was the blue print for Kevin McBride beating him.
